On Tuesday, May 27,President Donald Trumpannounced his plans tofully pardonTodd, 56, and Julie, 52, after they were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. Theyreported to prison in January 2023and have since been serving their sentences. Upon receiving the news, Savannah posted a video to herInstagram, reacting to the new development and shared how she was preparing for her parents' return home. "We are freaking out over here, I have shed so many tears," she began. "The president called me personally as I walking into Sam's Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both my parents." The television personality revealed that Todd and Julie were expected to come home "tonight or tomorrow" and thanked President Trump and their team of attorneys for putting in "countless hours and effort" to get them out of prison. "[I'm] getting clothes together for mom, getting their room together," she trailed off before continuing, "I'm just speechless... [my brother] Grayson's showing me all of these things that people are posting and we are so grateful." "It still doesn't feel real. I'm freaking out. So I'm gonna go prepare to pick up my parents," she added. They had been appealing their case ever since. Initially, Julie's appealwas granted due to insufficient evidence, while Todd's was upheld. However, a separate judge later ruled that her original punishment was sufficient. (Their original sentences werereducedin September 2023.) Amid their imprisonment, Savannah had become the sole caretaker of the pair's youngest children,Grayson, 19, andChloe, 12, at just 25 years old. (The couple also share sonChase, 28, and Todd's childrenLindsie, 35, andKyle, 33, from a previous marriage.) "I wasn't expecting to get two kids," Savannah told PEOPLE in a February feature. "So, between that, legal expenses to fight for my parents, I am just like anyone else out here. Sure, I put a smile on my face. I look the part, I play the part. But it doesn't mean I actually am the part. You fake it till you make it. That's the world that we live in. ... I've struggled."
