Corbett, 64, wasnearly unrecognizable as he rocked some new facial hair, as the scruffy grey beard is a departure from his usual clean-shaven look. His hair was styled to match as he rocked a pair of aviator sunglasses with his all-black look. His wife, 68, whomhe quietly wed in 2020after nearly two decades together, wore a white blazer that served as a pop of color next to Corbett's all-black look. "After 20 years, we decided to get married," he toldJerry O'ConnellonThe Talkeight months later. "We didn't want 2020 to be that thing that everybody looks back at and hated. We thought, 'Well, let's get one nice thing out of it.'" "We're pretty private people, we didn't make an announcement, all our friends and family knew but this is the first time either one of us has said anything publicly about it because really we haven't had an opportunity," he added. His return was a move that was writer and directorMichael Patrick King's "first thought" for Carrie's arc in the season. "I just know it's important to her. It's also important to the audience because they have feelings about Aidan," he told PEOPLE. "And it's exciting from a writing point of view, because half the audience was [for] Aidan, half the audience was team Big."
